Massage Message

Hello and welcome to episode 86 of my true ghost stories. I recently got to take a trip to San Diego. And this trip to San Diego was to celebrate two really cool things. The first one was my daughter got her PhD and I got to go to that graduation, which is unlike any other graduation I've ever been to before, a PhD graduation. It was like a whole bunch of grown-ups instead of a bunch of kids.

Anyway, it was a wonderful graduation and the other occasion that we were celebrating in San Diego was my birthday. So first we celebrated the PhD graduation and then the next day we celebrated my birthday. And I turned a very large number. I can't believe that I am this old. I really never intended to be this old, but as friends of mine say, you know, consider the alternative.

But I really feel in my head like I'm about 19 years old, maybe 2021, but that's how I feel in my head, but the calendar and my birth certificates say otherwise. So I'm much older than I ever thought I would be. So for my daughter's graduation, we attended the ceremony. I got to meet her advisor afterwards. That was really cool.

And it was like meeting a celebrity, meeting this guy that she had talked about so much for the last six years. And then we all went out to dinner and then the next day was my birthday. And for my birthday, my daughter gifted me a massage. Well, we went together. She got a massage also.

So if I had unlimited income in my life, I would get a massage every day. It's like my favorite thing in the world. It's like I'm in heaven when I'm getting a massage. I don't have unlimited income. So that's not an option right now, but it is my favorite thing in the world.

So on my birthday, we drove through the streets of San Diego, which I am always amazed to see that there's like palm trees there. You don't see those in New York City. So there's palm trees all over the place. So we drove to this massage place. And I'm still not completely accustomed to my children driving.

It's like the baby is driving. But anyway, there was like parking right there. So we parked the car and we went over to the massage place. And we walked up the block and we saw it. And it had such a good vibe to it.

It just looked really beautiful and homey. And right away, as soon as I got there, I felt some kind of energy, nothing negative at all. It was just, okay, something's going on here. Things are going on in a lot of places, but I could really feel it standing outside of this massage place. Something's going on in here.

Something supernatural. At some point in my interactions with this place, I had had to fill out a waiver. I had mentioned that it was my birthday. So as soon as my daughter and I walked in, they said, Happy Birthday, Jennifer, which was so very cool. And then they led us through this crystal-laden, beautifully painted hallway, which was lit by candles and they sat us in this sort of private area.

And there was a little chalkboard and on the chalkboard, it said, Happy Birthday, Jennifer. So I was like, oh, this is the best birthday present ever. And then this was a very high end place my daughter took me to. Then the two massage therapists came out and they had each had a tub of soapy warm water. And they put it down on the floor in front of us and they said, take off your shoes.

And they put our feet in these things and then they gave us each a little tray with a towel that smelled like lavender and chocolate. It had little pieces of chocolate on the tray next to the towel. And then they both knelt in front of us and asked us questions about, you know, what do you, you know, where your problem area is? What would you like us to work on? Well, this cool stuff is a really, really nice place and I felt cared for immediately and also honored because of all the birthday greetings.

When those massage therapists walked out of the hallway, leaving us to soak in the tub and eat chocolate and smell lavender towels, when they walked out of the hallway, my daughter and I, we high-fived each other. Like, this is awesome, which it was. So then after a few minutes, the massage therapists came back. They took us two separate rooms and the room was as beautiful as that hallway was and it had loud, not too loud, but very prominent. New AG music with the sound of water trickling, so it was very prominent.

It wasn't like deafening, but it was very prominent and it went in there and it smelled great, of course. And she said, okay, you know, gave me instructions on which, where to lay, what to take off, what to leave on, and to lay down. And when I went in there into the room, I really felt the energy that I was talking about, that I was describing when we were standing outside on the sidewalk. I really felt the energy when I entered that room. So I lay down, the massage began.

I'm laying on my stomach, she starts on my shoulders, I'm so happy. And she's touching my back and I'm like, yes, I am in heaven. This is my idea of heaven. And so I'm just really zoning out and then this name comes into my head. Teddy, no, Eddie, no, Teddy, it was Teddy or Eddie.

And I say, okay, who is this Eddie or Teddy? And I was pretty sure the name was Teddy. And so I'm laying there and she's massaging me and I'm really trying to focus and the name Teddy just keeps coming into my head. Teddy, you know, move your arm over here, Teddy, move your arm over there, Teddy. It was constant.

And so I started to say, okay, I think this is a message for this massage therapist. And I started to debate, you know, should I tell her, you know, I don't really want to talk through my massage. I don't like to talk while I'm getting massage, I like to really focus. So I'm like, should I tell her, no, no, no, don't tell her, yes, I'm going to tell, I really should tell her. And I was getting really distracted.

So even though I wasn't talking, I was still thinking about this, should I tell her about the name Teddy or not. So I was really distracted and not focusing on my massage. So I decided I have to ask St. Michael. So I said, St.

Michael, should I ask her about the name Teddy? And St. Michael's answer to me was, you know you're going to tell her. So he was, you know, he knows me. So he's like, you know you're going to tell her.

So just relax. So I relax because I figured out, I'll tell her when I turn over on my back. So while still laying on my front, I relaxed. I committed to that I was going to ask her about the name Teddy when I rolled over. Because in, you know, midway through your massage, you roll over onto your back.

So just while they're on my stomach, I enjoyed the back massage. Well, she got the knots out of my neck and my shoulders. And then, you know, the time came and she said, okay, now you're going to roll over onto your back. So I rolled over onto my back. And I focused my eyes on her and I said, do you know somebody named Eddie or Teddy?

It's Teddy. I'm pretty sure it's Teddy. You know, this is a weird thing to be asking in the middle of a massage. And she just said, no. Does Teddy know me?

I said, I don't know, but that name keeps popping into my head during this massage. And she said, oh, are you a medium? And I said, yes. And she said, okay, all right, let me think. All right, Eddie, Teddy, Teddy, no, I don't know what Teddy.

And then she paused and she goes, oh my god, I do know what Teddy. I said, oh, okay, who is it? It was really none of my business, but I figured she would probably want to tell me. So I said, so who is it? And she said, well, Teddy is the stepfather of my soon to be ex-boyfriend.

And I've really become a part of that family. So I thought for a second and then I said, does your boyfriend know that he's your soon to be ex-boyfriend? And she said, no, I'm actually going to tell him tomorrow. So I focused and I asked Michael, okay, what is the message about Teddy? No, Teddy had not passed on.

This message was all about living beings. And I said to St. Michael, what is the message about Teddy? And St. Michael said to me, tell her that Teddy is going to miss her.

So he looked up at her, focused my eyes again. She was massaging me, you know, looking mildly alarmed. But I said, okay, Teddy is going to miss you. And then I said, so I guess you should do something about that or not or not. I mean, I don't know, I don't know the story.

It's none of my business. And I don't know if she should stay in touch with Teddy or not. So that probably that part was just my message, not the message from St. Michael. All she really needed to know apparently was that Teddy was going to miss her.

And for some reason, the powers that be wanted her to know that. So, you know, once you get on your back in a massage, that's kind of the end of it. So it's not in the middle of the massage. It's towards the end of the massage that you go on your back. So it was pretty much over soon after we had this exchange about Teddy.

And she said, okay, our time has come to an end. And then she said, you know, take your time getting dressed. And I will meet you up in the front. So I took my time getting dressed. It was really, really comfortable.

These sheets and both my daughter and I said we spent a little extra time just laying on the table because these sheets were incredible. Like one million thread count sheets that was incredible. But, you know, eventually I got up and I got dressed and I went out. And my daughter was already out there looking all groggy. And I'm looking all groggy.

And there's my massage therapist and she's got a glass of water, which is what they do. And she had some notes for me about the session. Like you should roll out your shoulders and maybe think about, you know, a heating pad. She had said some suggestions for me and some neck stretches, stretch out the muscles in your neck. And then she said, and also thank you for the message.

And I said, yes, I will be thinking about you tomorrow. What time is this going to happen tomorrow? And she laughed. She said, I don't know. I don't know.

I said, all right, when you pop into my head tomorrow, I will send positive vibes your way that everything goes well. She thanked me. We left. We went for a walk in this park. It was a beautiful birthday.

And when I had some time to think later that night, I thought, why? Why did they need her to know that Teddy will miss her? Maybe? Maybe it will influence her conversation with the soon to be ex-boyfriend. Maybe she'll decide not to break up with him at all.

Maybe she will stay in touch with the stepdad, Teddy. Maybe she will just have more gratitude for her time that she's got to spend in that family. Well, I don't know. But what I do know is that I did my job and I delivered a message. And hopefully it helped.
