Guardian Ghost and Her Tree

Hello and welcome to episode 87 of My True Ghost Stories. Today I'm going to tell you the story about a job that I did that involved a house that was not inhabited. Actually it was for sale and the sellers were having a hard time selling it and I got permission from the sellers to tell the story of this ghost that wound up being there. So they initially contacted me by email and in the email they described that there were certain potential buyers, not all buyers, but certain potential buyers. Would come and view the home and look around and then they would go to this one section of the basement and they would complain of a terrible smell.

The real estate agent couldn't smell it but these certain buyers and there were several of them would complain about a certain smell. The real estate agent would go back and she would get the sellers and they would come back to the house and they would go down to this room and nobody could smell anything. So the owners thought maybe this is something supernatural going on because they could not find anything that would smell and they also didn't smell anything themselves. Again it was only some potential buyers that would smell this and not all. So they contacted me and in their email they said could this be a ghost?

What do you think? Do you think it's something paranormal? And as I was reading this email I immediately got a vision in my mind's eye of a woman standing near a bright mirror or a window, something very bright. And she had on a long white dress not like a ghost dress, like sort of an old fashioned high-collared turn of the century dress and her hands were folded in front of her and her expression was stern. She looked stern.

Not really scary but she looked stern and she looked like she was waiting not so patiently. She was not quite tapping her watch but that was the vibe I got from this vision of this what I imagine was the ghost in this house. Standing there, hands folded stern and waiting and doing everything but tapping her watch like come on let's go here. It was definitely a level of time awareness going on with this spirit. That's the vision that I got as I was reading the email.

So we made an appointment and I, besides having that one vision of the woman in her white dress standing by a bright mirror or window, I got more things in my meditation that morning before I went, before I go off to do a job, I do a very ritualized meditation that gives me more information about the job that I'm about to do. So with this meditation, I could see that there was something in the backyard, something important in the backyard and it had to do with this woman ghost in the basement and it had something to do with the smells and it had to do with the tree. There was a tree and then I thought maybe there's a special tree in the backyard or maybe there's some sort of a shrine in front of a tree or something I really didn't know but there was something in the backyard and it involved a tree. It either was the tree or it was something around the tree and the more I meditated, the situation was definitely focusing more and more on something that was a tree or that was near a tree in the backyard. So there was two things going on in this house that I hadn't been to yet.

There was a stern looking woman ghost in the basement and then there was some sort of involvement with a tree or something around a tree in the backyard. And something that I was getting was that the slightly stern waiting woman ghost in the white dress to the left of a bright mirror or window I was getting that she was some sort of guardian of this house and I realized even before I even got to this house that this woman ghost is screening buyers. And I didn't know why she was screening buyers but buyers that she didn't like she was putting a bad smell so that they would not buy the house. I knew from my meditation I knew that that was what was happening here and this was also somehow related to whatever important thing about a tree there was in the backyard. This is the information that I had on my way to the gig woman in white dress guardian of house screening buyers with bad smells and it has something to do with the tree in the backyard.

That was the information that I had when I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell and the family let me in. For every job I do I pack different supplies because each job requires different equipment and I don't want to bring everything with me and I think it's actually important that I don't show up with things that will dispel negative energy if there is no negative energy. I need to bring the specific tools for that job because those are the specific tools that need to go into the situation. However with this job I couldn't really tell if it was bad energy. I said you know it's bad smells.

Somebody is unhappy there. Ghost is unhappy there. But I'm not getting anything necessarily negative but maybe maybe not so as I was packing the bag I did pack some things that are for negative energy. I packed this white candle from Johnny from the Botanic. I brought that white candle to light and put in the doorway to dispel negative energy and I brought this spray concoction that I also got at the Botanic.

Which dispels negative energy. So I packed those. I also in my meditation got the message that I should bring dried yellow rose petals. So I packed those in the bag and when I got there the family let me in. I talked with them.

I described what I was going to do. I always lay out what I'm going to do. I'm going to go downstairs first and then I'm going to go to the backyard and I don't need to see the rest of the house. I could tell already that I didn't need to see the rest of the house. And so I said but first I'm going to light this white candle and put it in the doorway.

And this is the white candle that dispels negative energy and protects us from negative energy. I had a lighter and the candle and I start flicking the lighter and the wick is sticking straight up. You know like a normal working candle and it would not light. I tried everything. I was holding it upside down sideways.

Front ways always. This candle would not light. And just as a side note. When I came home I tried to light that candle and it lit right away. Something about in this house the white candle meant to dispel negative energy would not light.

So I said okay. For some reason they are not letting me light this candle but I didn't get a feeling like it was some evil spirit preventing me from lighting the candle. I got the feeling that maybe this candle for dispel negative energy was not necessary. That's what I thought was probably happening. So I said okay show me the room where this thing with the smells is happening.

So we walked down these stairs and there was a room to the left and a room to the right. Now in my vision the ghost had been in the room to the left. But when I went down there I could say no she is not in there. It was not like anything that had come to me in my vision. The room was a different shape.

There was no bright light. There was no mirror. There was no really bright window or anything. And so I said no that's not it. But I was feeling already a pull to my right.

So I turned and you know the family was still with me. I turned and I walked into the other room. And this was a basement. It was a beautiful finished basement. And in this room that I walked into there were cellar steps, steps that come down.

However they had put a clear plexiglass cellar door on top of these steps. So the sunshine was beaming into this room but just in the shape of these steps. So it was a very dark room with this bright light where these cellar steps were, where the sun was shining in. And there to the left of that cellar door was the woman ghost. And she had her hands folded and she was looking at me sternly.

And I said okay I found her. I told the family I'm going to deal with this ghost. So wait for me upstairs and then I will come up and describe to you what we're going to do. Now as far as the smells go, there was a closet like a really really really large closet. And it was sort of to the side of these two rooms.

And the family told me that it was around this closet that potential buyers were smelling the smell. The ones that did smell the smell that was around this closet. And it was sort of next to these two rooms that I'm talking about. The one room that was definitely not the room with the ghost and then the room with the bright light and the ghost. So the smells were not coming from either of those rooms they were coming from this closet area that was next to those two rooms.

So I told the family to go upstairs and they did they said okay you know let us know we'll be waiting upstairs. So I said okay you might hear some low talking coming from me but just ignore it don't come down. And they said okay we'll wait for you upstairs. So I went back into the room with the ghost. And I began my communication the way I always do with you know great compassion because this is a trapped spirit.

So I began my gentle communication. I said hello. What do you need? And this ghost was not having it. She said you already know this.

I'm screening buyers with smells and I'm protecting a tree. So she had no time for my gentle medium comforting messages. She just wanted me to go and tell them about the tree. So she just said go go go tell them. So usually in these jobs when I go off by myself to talk to the ghost I'm gone for a little while you know a couple of minutes at least.

But I was basically in there for 30 seconds and then she yelled at me and I just had to turn around and I had to run back up the stairs. And I said okay this was the first time that I described to the family that this ghost is screening buyers and trying to scare off the ones that she doesn't like with bad smells. And I said and there's something about a tree. I think it's in the backyard. Are there any really old trees in the backyard?

And the mother in this family she said to me there's not any old trees in the backyard. There's a really old tree in front of the house. So I went and I looked at that tree and it was definitely no. That is not the tree. That's not it.

And I said no I think this is a tree in the backyard. So they took me out to the backyard and I looked around and it was a really nice small beautifully manicured New York City backyard. The center of the yard was a patio with a table and chairs and then all around the outside were plants shrubs and trees. It was beautiful a beautiful garden. But I was like which tree which tree and then as I scanned the yard kind of from my right to the left as I came around to the left.

Right next to that, Plexiglass Seller door that I described to you before right next to it in a big giant planter was a small yet growing flowering dogwood. And I'm 99% sure that it was a flowering dogwood and there it was and I said okay. I pause I said to the family all right tell me about this tree. And one of the reasons I wanted to hear about this tree was because I realized that this tree was right over where the woman ghost was standing right over it. So she was in the basement next to the seller door and right above her next to the seller door was this flowering dogwood.

So the mom who was obviously a very connected soul. She said I don't know I just wanted to plant it. I wanted to have a flowering dogwood in my backyard. She said something like that. And I realized that this is the tree that that ghost is concerned about and it came to me and I said it right as it came to me.

I looked at the family and I pointed to the tree and I said this has to stay. And when I said that, they just started laughing. They burst out laughing as I said that. And the mom said that she had been trying to figure out a way to bring this tree with them to the house that they were moving to. And it was going to be impossible because it was big and heavy and they'd have to like carry it through the house with all the dirt.

And you know, the house was attached on both sides. And she had no idea how they would do it. But she was really, really trying to find a way to bring this tree. And it obviously it seemed to have been a bit of a discussion because the family just cracked up laughing when I said this has to stay. So I said, OK, this has to stay.

And finally, I contacted St. Michael and I contacted him and he said, you need to go downstairs and reassure that ghost that this tree is going to stay. So I said to the family, this ghost needs this tree to stay and she is screening out buyers who will not honor this tree and might remove it or put something else in this planter. Put it down. I said, you have to sell to someone who will honor this tree.

Not only do you have to leave it behind, you have to sell the house to someone who will honor and respect it. And they said, OK, our real estate agent is actually very open-minded and we'll work with us on that. And I said, OK, finally, talking to St. Michael, he said you have to go downstairs and you have to reassure that ghost that the tree will be taken care of and then that ghost can cross over. So I told them what I was going to do and I went downstairs and I talked to the ghost and I said, OK, it's done.

They have promised to honor the tree and they will not sell to someone who will not honor the tree and it was like an immediate ascension. I just said that and she was gone. That's all she needed to know. That's the only reason she was lingering was to protect that tree. Now, I don't know what was up with this dogwood tree.

It's a spiritual tree. I do know that and who knows what was on this ground before this house was built? Who knows what sort of connection that tree had to the earth underneath it? I don't know. But it was obviously very important that the tree stay and that that's what the ghost needed to know to cross over.

She crossed over. I was exhausted. I'm always exhausted for a few minutes after they cross over. But then I sealed up the portal, which was right next to that bright, solar door. And then I thought maybe I'll just do a little bit of negative energy clearing in the closet where those bad smells were coming from.

You know, just do it. So I took out my spray bottle and I had filled it that morning and tested it and the spray had come right out. Nice, fine mist. And so I opened up the closet door that where they said the smells were coming from. It was completely empty and I went into it.

It was a really big walking closet and I went into it. And I started to spray the corners with the spray that dispels negative energy with the intention of dispelling any lingering negative energy that was there. And the spray bottle would not work. Nothing would come out, even though it was full. Nothing would come out.

So the candle in the beginning that I had tried to light to dispel negative energy would not light. And then the spray bottle that was meant to dispel negative energy would not spray. So I said, okay, fine. I guess there's no negative energy here. This house is clean.

And that ghost was here to make sure that that tree doesn't go anywhere. I went back upstairs. I brought the yellow dried rose petals with me and me and the mom took them and we scattered them around the base of that dogwood tree. And we said, this tree is safe. This tree will stay.

And then it was done. I had done my job. They recently contacted me to let me know that the house had sold and that they had honored that the buyers would respect that tree. And I'm glad about that because that flowering dogwood needed to stay. Thank you so much for listening to today's episode.
