Is There a Ghost in that Statue?

Hello and welcome to my true ghost stories. My summer is about to get super busy with family, swimming, beaches, all that good stuff. So I'm not gonna have time to do a long story for you all each week, but I do have time to give you some short stories. And then I will pick up my long stories again. When I get back from all these different day trips and things like that, I'm gonna tell you some short stories that aren't just sort of my day to day ghost interactions.
They don't have any gasping major big moments to them, but they are still kind of cool. So I'm going to tell you those stories. And I'm gonna start with this one where I was taking a walk in a cemetery. It was during the pandemic and during the pandemic, you had to find all these places to socialize outside. So there was a lot of walking going on, walking in parks, walking, they would close the streets in New York City so you could walk six feet away from your friend, but still be with your friend.
And the cemeteries, there's a few really nice cemeteries around here and you could take a walk in the cemetery. They opened up all the gates and they were packed with pedestrians. So I was taking a walk through this cemetery with my friend Michael, not Saint Michael. Saint Michael's always with me, but this was with an actual human being named Michael who's a very good friend of mine. So we were walking and walking all around this cemetery, which has got lots of wildlife and flowers and beautiful grays and mausoleums.
And is somehow, during the day, not spooky at all. I don't know if I would want to be there at night because it's not really lit during the night so I don't think I would want to do that. But during the day, it's just beautiful. So we were walking down this little side road. It kind of runs adjacent to the outdoor street, but not that close.
You couldn't really hear the cars, but you could see them. And I was walking down this road with Michael and we're talking, we're chatting. And there was a mausoleum to my right. And right outside the mausoleum was a statue of a woman. And she was sort of, she was looking up and I think her hands were in prayer or her hands were outstretched.
This is a statue, not a real woman. And her hands were outstretched. One of these things these ghosts do when they're trying to get my attention is they will jump into dolls or jump into statues or jump into paintings that I am looking at in order to get my attention. I did a whole episode about the ghosts jumping into my Barbie dolls when I was a kid. Before I knew that there was ghosts jumping into these things.
So anyway, I'm walking down the road. I see this statue. I'm looking at the statue. And then I could tell that the ghost of a woman jumped into this statue. But I was in the middle of an interesting conversation with my friend Michael who I only hang out with like, you know, once every six weeks or so.
So I didn't want to say, oh, excuse me, you know, could you just hold your thought there while I go talk to that statue over there? You know, I didn't want to say that. He does know that I'm a medium, but you know, it's kind of weird to say, I have to go talk to a statue. So just wait over here. So I didn't do that.
I didn't do that right away. So we kept walking and I'd say we went about 50 feet and I could not get that woman in the statue out of my head. And I think she was probably like calling, calling, calling because it was really, really bringing me back. I couldn't focus on what Michael was saying. And it was just like, go back to that statue, go back to that statue.
So then I said, all right, Michael, can you just hold your thought for a second and I have to go back there and talk to that statue. And that's what I did. So I went back there and I still did social distancing because I didn't get right up in front of the statue. I gave that statue six to 12 feet and I listened and I spoke and I was able to help the spirit that had jumped into that statue to ascend, to crossover. And I don't know where she was from.
I don't know if she was like buried in that mausoleum but probably not. My guess is that she had been following me around for the day or for God knows how long trying to get my attention so I could help her to crossover. So anyway, I finished my conversation with her. I helped her to crossover. I said, thank you.
I probably closed up the portal because I always do that. And then I went back and I rejoined Michael and I said, okay, what were you saying? And he's like, oh no, no, wait a minute. What did you just do? What was that?
And so I had to tell him the story about how the woman had jumped into the statue and then I had to help her crossover. No biggie, he's like, no biggie. That's a huge biggie. But to me, it was just another day in the life of a medium and that's how it is all the time. I will be back here next week at this time with another short story for you.
