I See a Rolling Ghost

A group of girls, a dog, and a rolling ghost. How did these three things come together for this supernatural story? Welcome to episode 63 of My True Ghost Stories. After my divorce was final, I joined this group of women. It was sort of an informal support group.

And we actually met in this medium-sized room at a community center in the neighborhood. Formerly, we were there to talk about our problems and we were all most of us divorced. So that was mostly what we talked about, mostly our divorces and any new dating that was happening. So that was pretty much the subject of this informal support group in this community center. And I went there, it wasn't every week, but I went there pretty often.

And there was a ghost in this community center. And it was so strange this ghost, he wasn't looking at me. It was a man. And that man, ghost, might have been interested in the group of, you know, I'm going to say pretty good looking women sitting around in a circle talking about man. But he did not pay any attention to me.

He wasn't trying to get my attention. And the really weird thing about this particular ghost was that he was rolling, but not like a person doing summer salts. He was, it was like, if you have ever seen the Janet Jackson love will never do without you video. And I will put a link in the show notes. In the middle of that video, there's this guy and he's like in this big circular contraption and he's holding the top with his arms and the bottom with his feet.

And the contraption is rolling and he's inside that contraption just rolling along. And that is what this ghost was doing, like without the contraption though. He was just sort of rolling almost like he was doing cartwheels except there was no, you know, hand spring action. He was just rolling and he would roll all the way to one side of the room and then he would roll all the way back to the other side of the room. At that time in my development as a medium, I was not in the blabbing to all phase that I talked about in last week's episode where I told everybody every time I saw a ghost.

I was in the tell nobody or they'll think I'm crazy phase. So it was way before I started blabbing to all. So I would just sit there in this circle like talking about my divorce or listening to someone else talk about their divorce or listening to someone talk about their dating and I would just sit there and this ghost was just going back and forth rolling the whole time. And I was just trying to ignore him. It was different than other ghosts that will like stand right next to me and stare at me or say excuse me excuse me excuse me.

Nope. He was just acting very distracting. If it was a kid, I would think it was attention seeking behavior, but this was a ghost. And as the weeks went by and I kept seeing this ghost every week and I kept trying to ignore the ghost, the rolling got a little more intense. It got a little faster and not that there's noise with these things, but there's noise in my mind.

It got noisier. This rolling sound even though he didn't have the apparatus like the one in the Janet Jackson video. The rolling became noisier and a little faster and more obvious. And one day one of the women brought her little dog. She brought her little dog and it was a adorable little dog.

I'm a little scared of dogs, but I wasn't scared of this one. And he just came and she sat in her chair and he just sat next to her on the floor resting and he was cute and it was okay to have him there. But as soon as we really settled in, you know, he sat down and then he got up and he walked over and faced the wall not too far from his owner, but he faced the wall where the ghost was rolling. And he faced the wall and his head, this dog's head was moving ever so slightly, sort of like a person watching a very slow tennis match. And then the dog just started barking, barking at the wall.

And it didn't make any sense. Well, it didn't make any sense to the other people in this group. I knew what was going on, but this was completely baffling to them. There was no people over there. There was no window.

There was nothing. Just this dog was facing the wall and his head was going slightly back and forth as if he was watching something. I know what he was watching. They didn't know. And then he was barking at it.

And we sort of, you know, we paused the conversation because we couldn't discuss our divorces over the sound of this dog barking and stood up. And we all walked over there. Well, some of us walked over there. And the owner was like a little embarrassed because her otherwise very quiet dog was throwing this little scene over on the side of the room, disturbing the group that she thought it would be totally fine to bring the dog to the group because he's so quiet and he just sits quietly next to my chair. And now he was acting quite bizarrely.

So we all stood there and the dog is barking at the wall. And she says, what are you doing? Let's say his name was sparky. I don't remember the dog's name, but let's say she said sparky. What are you doing?

And then she would say to us, this is really unlike him. I don't know. He never does this. I don't understand what's going on. And she was so baffled and everyone was so baffled and nobody knew what to do because we couldn't really have our little support group over the sound of the dog barking.

I said, well, I said, I know what's going on. And it was very hard for me to say this because it was out of time when I didn't tell anybody these things. And this had been weeks and weeks and weeks of me not telling the women in this group that there was a ghost rolling back and forth on the opposite wall. So I said, well, what he's barking at is, and I said just that there's a ghost here. I can see them and he's rolling.

And that's why sparky is looking back and forth because he's watching the ghost roll over to that side and then roll all the way back. And I guess sparky can see him too. And God bless these women because nobody said, what? That's crazy. They all said, oh, that makes sense, which was quite a relief to me that, okay, they don't think I'm crazy.

And I got a little more confident right there. And I was glad that I had decided to tell them. I'm going to be honest and I don't remember if we continued on with the meeting or I think what happened was that the woman was somehow able to calm her dog down by, I guess she explained to him and he understood. As far as I know, she got him to calm down. And then when we concluded our support group meeting there, the dog went back over the wall and started barking again.

And I'm pretty sure that that's what happened. So now that the cat was out of the bag that I'm a medium and that I can see ghosts, at least the cat was out of the bag to this particular group of women, I felt that it was time for me to actually send this spirit up, which I did know how to do at that time. I wasn't telling people about it, but I did know how to do it at that time. And one of the women that had been standing with me when I told everybody that the dog was barking at a ghost, one of the women was just so excited about this. And she asked me if I was going to address this ghost or what are you going to do?

And I said, well, I'm going to help the ghost ascend. I said that that's something I had just started doing it and I knew that that's what I needed to do. So I told her, I'm going to help the ghost to ascend. And she said, well, can I help? She was very excited to help.

And I did actually think that it would be a good idea to have some help. One of the reasons that I wanted help was that I knew I was going to have to stand there by the wall and talk to the man. And I didn't have access to this community room when there wasn't this group of women there. So I would have had to do it while they were all there. And I didn't want to be standing there murmuring to the wall.

Even though everybody knew there was a ghost there. Now I did not want to stand there doing that. I was just too embarrassed. So I thought if I could stand there together with this girl and even if all she did was stand there next to me, well, I did it, which was the plan. Then it could sort of look like I was talking to her and I wouldn't feel so silly.

So I made a plan with her that the next time we came to this room, which was in a week or two, that we would work on helping this ghost to ascend. The way I prepared for this, send up of this ghost, was to do some meditation, which is what I do and I learn what that spirit needs. And I don't remember what the spirit needed. I know that I did the meditation and I figured it out, but I don't remember now, because this was a while ago, what it was. But I do remember that I found this little prayer book.

And it was a tiny little volume and it had prayers from all different religions in it. And I just knew from looking at that book that one of the prayers from this book was what this ghost needed. So me and my friend met a few minutes before everybody got there a week or two later and we went over to the wall. I gave her the book. We faced the wall and I asked her to sort of stand in a way that it looked like I was talking to her.

And she did that and I had the little prayer book and I kept it down at my side so it wouldn't look like I was reading prayers to her because that wouldn't have made any sense to this particular group of girls. So we did that. And before we started reading the prayers, I walked over there. She stood there next to me and I said, excuse me to the ghost who was indeed at that time as always rolling back and forth. I said, excuse me.

And that was all it took. He got out of his rolling position, which was sort of like a spread eagle kind of thing. And he had been doing this rolling spread eagle thing like the guy in the Janet Jackson video while facing us. So it wasn't that hard to get his attention. So I just looked at him and I said, excuse me.

And he just got down from his spread eagle position and walked directly towards me. He stood right in front of me and I said, it's time for you to go, which is what St. Michael had told me. St. Michael had told me that it was time for this spirit to go.

So he just stood there and then I started to receive instructions from St. Michael. St. Michael said, read the prayer. So I took up in the prayer book and I faced my friend a little bit just so that it would look like I was talking to her and I read the prayer out loud.

And the ghost stood there while I read him the prayer. And then I closed that book and I faced him and Michael told me to tell him to look up. Sometimes Michael tells me to tell them to put their arms out to the side, but that's not always the case. And I have no idea what these different stances mean. But this particular ghost was supposed to stand there with his arms down at his sides and looking up, I guess a little bit like a rocket ship.

And in that stance with me having read the poem and me telling him that it was time to go, I felt the vibration in my chest, which means it's happening. And he went up right through that ceiling. And that was that my friend, you know, she had no idea what was going on. She just saw me talking to this ghost. And she stood there so nicely so that it would look like I was talking to her.

But she didn't know what was actually going on. And so after he went up, I felt his relief. And I turned to her and I said, okay, he's gone. And I said, I feel his relief. And it must have been a relief because it probably wasn't that satisfying to just roll back and forth in this room.

Even if there was a group of good looking women nearby, it was probably pretty frustrating because he couldn't talk to us or anything. I was doing things in a much different way back then. I sent him up through my body, which is not what you're supposed to do. It worked for him, but it takes a toll on me. I didn't close up the portal because I didn't know about closing up the portal.

And I really hope that that community room is not all haunted now because I didn't know that I was supposed to close up the portal. But I am glad that the rolling ghost got to stop rolling and descend to wherever it was he needed to go next. Thank you for listening to today's episode.
