Boombox Cherub

A dancing cherub at a women's support group. Will that cherub be able to get the attention of the right person? Welcome to episode 64 of My True Ghost Stories. Today's story takes place in that support group of divorcing and divorced and dating women that I talked about in last week's episode. And the story takes place after the send-up of the ghost from that room.

And even though that rolling ghost had been sent up by me, there was still some supernatural activity going on in that room. Now I'll just set it up for you. When we would get together, we would talk about the specific topic of divorce and dating. We would sit in a circle and we would kind of take turns talking with a little bit of feedback. For the most part, one person would talk at a time, the rest would listen, maybe we would comment a little bit, but for the most part we would allow people to just talk about what they needed to talk about.

Once that rolling ghost from episode 63 had moved on, it wasn't bothering me anymore. I was able to focus more on what people were talking about. And things that we would talk about would be, you know, one woman, her husband, her ex-husband was withholding child support. And another woman was talking about her mixed feelings about her divorce. Another woman was talking about how she had just started dating a guy who was starting to act exactly like her ex-husband.

And one day when we were doing our sharing of our problems and giving each other support, there was one woman who was going through a particularly hard time. She had gone through a painful divorce. She had taken a long time off from dating, and now she was going to start dating again. And she was terrified. She was really terrified and was talking about that terror.

And we were all listening and nodding. And, you know, for the most part nobody was commenting because she just really needed to get this out, how scared she was. She was probably scared that the same thing would happen to her that was happening to the other woman that a new boyfriend might start acting exactly like her ex-husband. I mean, I don't know what she was afraid of, but that might have been it. And while she was talking about this very specific issue of starting dating again after a divorce, I was sitting next to her and I was trying to listen, but I could not focus on what she was saying because there was some spirit.

And I couldn't see the spirit. I could just hear the spirit. And it was saying a name over and over and over again. It wasn't the woman's name who was sitting next to me. I'll call her Judy.

That wasn't her name, but I'm going to call her Judy. And I was sitting next to Judy, which is what we're calling her. And in my, like, say she was on my right and in my left ear, I hear this three syllable name being repeated over and over and over again. But I couldn't quite get what it was. I couldn't get any letters of this name except that it was three syllables.

The way a lot of mediums here names, it's you don't get the whole sound of it. You get like the shape of the name or maybe the first letter or the last letter or you just sort of get the shape of the name. If there are any mediums listening, they'll probably know what I'm talking about, but you don't always get the exact name. So in this specific instance, I was only getting that it was three syllables. And I could not get a letter or a sound.

And although it was in my left ear, it was as if someone was on my left side, but very far away, very far away. I hear this name being called from very far away, but I don't know what the name is. I could still only get three syllables. And so I was completely unable to focus on what Judy was saying because I was so distracted by some spirit that was eagerly trying to get my attention. And it was only about this name.

And then finally, it was as if they came close to me. And this wasn't actually what happened. This isn't actually what I sensed, but it was like this. This spirit basically held up a boom box, which is not really what I sensed, but it was just becoming blatantly obvious of what this song was. And the song that was being played instead of the name being repeated over and over again, the three syllable name.

This song started playing in my head really loudly. And the song was sweet Caroline. And I recognized the melody. And I'm sure you all know that song sweet Caroline. And I recognize the melody.

And I said, OK, now that I can hear the three syllable name that this spirit is trying to get me to be aware of is the name Caroline or some three syllable name that starts with the letter C. Meanwhile, this whole time I'm missing what Judy is talking about. I'm looking at her and nodding and paying no attention to what she's saying. And after I got the name Caroline, I was able to focus a little bit more on what Judy was saying. And as I focused on Judy, I sensed, and I could see in my mind's eye, a small little spirit like a cherub, like a little angel.

And it was flitting about Judy while she talked, who was sort of flying like a little angel flying around her, but flitting like Tinkerbell kind of, except it wasn't Tinkerbell. And it was like a cherub. And now that the singing had stopped the yelling of the three syllable name and then the boom box playing sweet Caroline had stopped in my left ear. That had been replaced by this little spirit flitting around Judy while she talked. Judy was in agony, really, really upset.

And this little cherub was flitting about her. And it seemed like the cherub was trying to make herself, who's definitely a girl, make herself known to Judy. So the whole get together wrapped up and there was a little socializing going on afterwards. Of course, we all stood around and talked and a couple people were headed out for coffee together. And I stopped and I went over to Judy.

And I say, I'm going to tell her about this Caroline thing, like what is, what is that about? Like maybe she would recognize it. And the reason I felt comfortable doing this with her was because Judy had been one of the people that came over with me in the story that I told last week with the dog barking at the ghost. And she had not been surprised at all about it. And she was not freaked out about it.

So I said, I think I can tell Judy about this. And she won't think I'm crazy. And she might even get something out of it. I don't know. So I said, Judy, is there something somebody important to you or just a three syllable name that starts with a C something like Caroline?

I didn't want to say the whole thing about the song because I knew that the song was just to get me to get what the first letter was or maybe the name actually was Caroline. I didn't need to tell her. You know, while you were talking, I could only think about the song sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. I didn't need to say all that because I knew that the song was just that little spirit's way of telling me what the name was. I needed to tell Judy.

So I didn't say all that. So I asked her, is there somebody or something important to you that is a girl's name that's three syllables that starts with a C. And I could only think of Caroline. I couldn't think of any of the three syllable names to give her an example. And she answered, no, I don't know anybody named Caroline.

I don't know anything about that. And she asked, why? And I said, well, there's a little cherub guardian angel sort of flitting around you. Mostly while you were talking and you were being so sad, this little angel was flitting about you. And I got a message that the angel had a three syllable name that started with a letter C.

And she was really not freaked out about that, but surprised to hear this. And she paused and started thinking. And then she gasped. And she looked up at me, startled. And she just started pointing at me.

This is another time that I wish that I had video with this audio because I could show you how she was pointing at me. And she just started spilling out this story. And the story that she spilled out after she realized what I was probably talking about was that she had visited a psychic many, many, many years before, before any of this, before the divorce, before the marriage she had topped to a psychic. And the psychic had told her, Judy, that she had two spirits protecting her. So there was two spirits protecting Judy.

That's what that psychic said. And one was a big sort of overarching spirit that watched over her whole world. And the other one was a small little spirit that danced around her and was at her side all the time. And she told me the name of the big spirit, but then she said with complete disbelief, she said, the psychic told me that the name of the little spirit who flits about me and stays by my side, her name, that little spirit's name is Clementine. So that would explain the three syllable name that would explain the urgency of this spirit.

And that would explain why the spirit was flitting about her particularly in this very painful time that Judy was going through. I listened to her story about the two spirits and I said, I didn't, I didn't see any big spirit. She said, no, no, no, no, that's okay. That's okay. I like the idea of one little chair of named Clementine who's with me all the time.

I don't feel alone. So Judy said knowing this, she doesn't feel alone anymore. And she had forgotten about her little guardian angel named Clementine. And I think that Clementine was really, really trying to get Judy's attention and maybe had been for this whole time that she was going through this divorce and trying to date again. And Judy admitted to me that she used to get a lot of strength from these two guardian angels that the psychic had told her about, but she had lost sight of them.

But obviously they had never left her. Well, at least the little one had never left her. Judy thanked me. She thanked me and thanked me for delivering this message. And I said, let's thank Clementine for being so persistent.

Clementine must have seen her opportunity. Judy is talking about her pain and she's sitting next to a medium. This is my opportunity. That's what I imagine the thought process of little Clementine was as she listened to Judy be in pain. And it must have been very frustrating for this spirit, if spirits get frustrated to have Judy be going through all this pain and not be calling upon these guardian angels that she had.

Judy had been going it alone. But after this conversation with me, Judy realized that she is not alone. And every time I saw her after that, she thanked me again and told me that Clementine is still by her side. Thank you for listening to today's episode.
