Hello, and welcome to my true ghost stories. Today is the fourth in my summer season of mini episodes. And today's story takes place during the time when I had first figured out what this was all about. And I first realized that ghosts were trying to get my attention, ghosts needed my help. And I was also realizing that I was getting messages from the universe to deliver to people.
Sometimes from the departed and sometimes just these random messages that came in. Now, I have since learned that giving unsolicited messages to people who did not ask for them, that's the meaning of unsolicited, is a big no-no. You're not supposed to just walk up to someone and say something that has come through the air as a message for them. You know, it could offend them, it could upset them, it could be something that they don't want to know. But I didn't know that, and it just all seemed so urgent.
So I just kept giving messages to strangers or not strangers, my friends, co-workers, anyone who kind of understood what was going on. I would just give them a message that was coming to me. I don't do that anymore, but I did do it then. So the story I'm going to tell you today takes place during this beginning time, in which I was still delivering unsolicited messages to unsuspecting strangers. And I was riding the subway and sitting across from me on my subway car was this woman.
And she was very well dressed and she was sitting there minding her own business. And I was on this train with her and there was just a couple other people and it was pretty energetically low for a subway train. There was not any ghosts getting my attention, but I was looking at this woman and I wasn't staring at her, because you're not supposed to do that either. I wasn't staring at her, but I was glancing at her and I was getting a very, very strong message to give to her. Tell her, and then there was this message.
Tell her they love you. So I sat there, you know, should I do it? Should I not do it? And you know, I had probably ten more stops to go and she wasn't making any moves like she was getting off at any stop. So I just sort of sat there with this message.
They love you. I was feeling hesitant because you really, you know, talking to strangers is kind of a New York City thing, but you never know who you're going to meet on the train. So as each stop went and she didn't get up, I would say, okay, should I or shouldn't I? And then it became clear to me, it just seemed so urgent. I must, I must deliver this message to her.
So finally, after nine stops or something like that, it was time for me to get off. So I stood up way before the stop came and I walked over and I stood next to her and she sort of looked up at me and we had a little smile. And then I said, just do it, just give her the message. So I leaned a little forward so she could hear me in the noise of the train and I said, I have a message for you. Now, I've also learned that you're supposed to ask someone if they have your permission to give them a message, but I didn't know about that either, so I did not ask her permission.
So as I said, I leaned forward and I said, I have a message for you. And she said, what? Of course, what kind of sense does that make? A stranger stands up on the subway, walks towards you and says, I have a message for you. But it is New York City, some pretty wacky stuff happens on the train, so she didn't seem that surprised, but she just sort of said, what?
And I said, they love you. That was the message I had gotten for her. Tell her they love you. And I stood there after giving her this message that they love you, afraid that she would freak out or something or act like I was crazy or get upset. Tell me to get away from her.
But instead, I'm so lucky here. Instead, her face lit up. And she said, my children, they love me. And I said, I don't know. All I know is the message I got for you was that they love you.
And she said, oh, it's my children. And she was so happy. Thank goodness she didn't yell at me or anything like that or get offended. So that was the end of the interaction. She thanked me.
I said goodbye to her. I walked off the train and I felt pretty satisfied that I had done this, that I had delivered this message. So maybe she needed that message and the powers that sent me that message in a time when I didn't know that you're not supposed to give unsolicited messages. She certainly seemed delighted to get it. To me, it seemed like it was going to be a positive moment in her day and maybe her life, I don't know.
But I will say that I walked off that train feeling satisfied that I had had this communication with her and that I had done something important.
