Hello and welcome to episode 81 of My True Ghost Stories. This past week I had an appointment at my dermatologist and I also did not have an idea for what story I was going to tell on this week's episode of My True Ghost Stories and I was sitting around thinking about what episode should I record for this week's podcast. And as I was sitting there, I was sitting on my couch. This woman came to me in the way that these spirits do and she said, I'm waiting in the waiting room and I said, okay, there is a ghost waiting for me in the waiting room of that dermatologist office and I need to head up there right now. So my car was in a good spot for the next day so I did not want to move it so I walked up the hill to the dermatologist office and as I was walking, I got the idea that the spirit was not going to wait in the waiting room actually.

She's going to wait outside on the sidewalk. That was the vision I was getting of her as I walked up the hill to the dermatologist office. But by the time I got to the avenue where the dermatologist office is, I completely forgot about the ghost because that office is so crowded and they rely on a sign-in sheet. I don't think they rely so much on your appointment time. They rely on this sign-in sheet.

So I was just like racing across the street when the light turned. I was racing across the street to like get past anybody else that might have been headed to that same office to sign in. I wanted to sign in before them. So I forgot all about that poor ghost as I ran in. I signed in.

The waiting room was of course filled with people but I got my name on that list. And I scanned the waiting room for the ghost and she was not there. She was indeed standing outside looking in the window at me. So I indicated to her that I will talk to you after this appointment at which point she came into the waiting room. I was getting a very clear sense that this ghost was in a very contained area.

That she couldn't go past certain spots. She could go out onto the sidewalk and into the waiting room of this doctor's office but could not go past these spots. I don't know why that is but that is sometimes the case that ghosts can't leave a certain area and she was one of these ghosts that was stuck in a certain area. So my rushing to sign in paid off because I barely got to even sit down in that crowded waiting room before they called me in for my appointment. I realized that the people sitting in the waiting room were the companions of people that were already in the little rooms so I was very lucky there.

I got to sit on this bench in the hallway outside the little rooms which I guess is a step forward. It makes you feel with this moving through the office. It makes you feel like things are actually moving on. I did feel a little bit of progress unless frustration from getting moved into the bench outside the little rooms. This particular dermatologist office used to get a lot of really bad online reviews from people sitting in the waiting room waiting for their appointment because they had to wait for so long.

So I think they tried to remedy that by moving you through even if it's a little half steps they move you through instead of just sitting in that waiting room. That's my theory. So as I was sitting on the bench outside the exam rooms which I'm calling the little rooms the ghost of the woman who had been trying to contact me ventured in but she stood at the end of the hallway so it was just past the waiting rooms and at the end of the hallway and I was in the middle of the hallway on this bench and this bench also happened to be obviously a former church pew. I don't know why but anyway I was sitting on that church pew in the middle of the hallway and the ghost of the woman came and stood at the end of the hallway and it became clear that this was the boundary of her space that she was able to move around him. It seemed like I was going to have some time there because all the doors to the exam rooms were closed and obviously occupied by other patients so I said I'm going to just communicate with this ghost a little bit right now because I think I have time before they call me in.

I knew I had time before they called me in. So I looked directly at the ghost who was standing at the end of the hallway. I didn't want to get off the bench. I didn't want to interrupt the flow of the doctor's office but I sat on the bench and I swiveled around so that I was facing the end of the hallway and I addressed that ghost and I said you know in my mind I don't say it out loud. Sometimes my lips might move a little bit while I'm talking to a ghost but I don't say it out loud.

So I looked at her and I just said what's going on? Something like that I just addressed her and she said this is not where I'm supposed to be and I said I know and she said will you help me and I said yes and right as that little bit of conversation ended with the ghost the actual doctor came out of one of the exam rooms and he said hi I know him. He's not only my dermatologist he lives in the neighborhood so I know him from the grocery store in the gym and stuff like that and he just said hi and I said hi and so that interrupted my conversation with the ghost and he said I'll be right with you and I was in my head I was like yeah right but you know he said I'll be right with you so I knew though that I really couldn't focus on the ghost because I was in this limbo here of sitting outside the exam rooms and waiting to get called into the exam room so I had to just sit there and I was sitting there and the ghost remained right there at the end of the hallway staring at me and the tingling in my chest that I have described before in this podcast this tingling that happens when I'm communicating with the spirit especially when it's a spirit that's about to ascend the tingling in my chest was very prominent at that moment because the ghost was standing there staring at me we were sort of mid conversation but I had to pause the conversation because we were going to get interrupted by the doctor or the assistant at any moment so I had to just sit there with that tingling which was pretty uncomfortable but I had to just sit with it because I knew I couldn't focus and this was difficult because the tingling remained and I had to just sit there but I was able to do it and I knew she definitely wouldn't be able to come into the exam room so I knew that relief was coming from the tingling and I knew she was going to wait so I didn't have to worry about her disappearing because she had obviously very clear boundaries on where she could go and I could just trust that she was still going to be there for me to help when I came out and I knew that I was going to go into the exam room where the tingling in my chest would lessen because I would be not as close to that ghost and in that little hiatus there with the ghost staring at me waiting for the doctor to call me into the exam room I just wondered why why is this ghost and some other ghosts just trapped in one area what is it about that area that they can't leave and as I was sitting there wondering about this strange spiritual phenomenon the assistant came down the hallway and said come right this way Jennifer and we went into the exam room and this is another thing that makes you feel like things are moving along I got into the little room and she asked me you know the questions you know your hi your way your that's stuff but you feel like things are moving along it really doesn't tell you anything if the doctor is going to be in soon or not but it does make it feel like you're you're going to get out of this doctor's office eventually so as I sat in the little room on the exam table listening to sounds in the hallway is does that sound like a doctor approaching the door I took out my little no pad that I write down ideas for my podcast episode this week and I realized that this is going to be my story for the podcast the story that I'm telling you right now and I was writing down the notes and I got some stuff I remembered the part about the ghost contacting me in the first place I wrote about the ghost being trapped in a certain area all the details that I've told you already I wrote that all down which took a little while and the doctor was not coming and eventually I I didn't have anything left to write so I put the no pad down I just waited the tech had closed the door when she went out after asking me my questions so during this time while I was writing I had had relief from the tingling because the ghost was all the way down the hallway standing at her boundary and I was in an exam room all the way at the other end of the hallway with the door closed so the tingling remained but it wasn't as uncomfortable as it had been while I was just sitting there but the ghost right there staring at me the assistant came in for a minute to ask me one more question and then at that point she left the door open and the tingling increased and the door remained open and the tingling continued until the doctor came in like two minutes later and he closed the door the tingling stopped I was able to focus on what the doctor was talking to me about we were looking at this little thing that was on my head that he had burned off six weeks before and so I really was able to just put that ghost out of my mind temporarily and focus on the skin on my face the visit went well the thing had healed there was another little thing next to my ear that he burned off it was no big deal he gave me a prescription for some moisturizer that I may or may not purchase and he left the room it was all done I didn't have to make another appointment so I left the room and I became prepared to deal with that ghost who was waiting for me when I came outside and got all my stuff and say goodbye to the receptionists I saw that the ghost was waiting out on the sidewalk so I went out the door and I stood there and I kind of scoached over a little bit to not be right in front of the door the dermatologist office so I stood in front of the Duncan Donuts which is next to the dermatologist office and actually it's a Duncan Donuts that I talked about in another episode that used to be a funeral home so I don't know maybe this ghost was from that funeral home because it was really right next door so I was standing in front of the storefront not the door of the Duncan Donuts and I was looking at the ghost now the ghost was standing over in front of these chained up bicycles that were right next to the curb and she was standing there and I was looking at her and I was reaching into my bag to get my notepad out so that I could write about how she was standing next to the bicycle so I remember that detail for the podcast and as I reached into the bag the ghost said focus on me don't write in that book you have to help me and I said okay okay I'm sorry I'm sorry I just put the book back and I really I committed to that I am not going to write down every detail as we go through this my focus my priority needs to be that I am helping this ghost and not writing a podcast episode which will come later but right now I'm going to focus on this which I'm very glad that this ghost pointed it out to me you know your priorities are out of order and so I put everything away I even zipped up my purse so I wouldn't even be tempted to reach in there and she would see that I was committing to her ascension which I was in charge of right now and she said she repeated what she had said before she said this is not where I'm supposed to be and I told her that she doesn't have to stay here and that we are going to help her to cross over we being me and her guides and as we had this communication as I was just standing there in front of the storefront of the Dunkin Donuts these two guides came in and they held her arms and we were all getting ready to have her cross over which I sort of help her guides to help her to lift her up I don't know exactly how it works but I call the guides in the guides need me to be standing there communicating with the ghost and I really don't know how that all works I just know that that's how it goes I communicate with the ghost and while I'm doing that the ghost becomes ready to cross over and it opens up some sort of portal that the guides come and take the ghost and bring them up and every guide assisted ascension is slightly different so in this case there was two guides she's still over there by the bicycles these two guides came in and they took her by her arms sort of the way you would escort somebody someplace they sort of put their hands like under her elbows sort of if her arms were bent and the difference about this ascension is that really quickly one of the guides put his hand on top of her head I don't understand the significance of this but what happened he had put his hand on top of the spirits head and he held it there and as this was going on the light had turned because the dermatologist office that we were standing outside of is right on a street corner the light had turned and a whole bunch of pedestrians were coming past so the guide had his hand on top of the woman spirits head outside the dermatologist office by the bicycles and this whole crowd of people walked by some of them were together some of them were not but they were crossing the street and they walked by us and after they had all passed the Duncan Donuts the guide lifted his hand off of the spirits head and they ascended they took her up and she was gone and I felt her relief and I was so grateful that she was not stuck in this little tiny area anymore now the avenue that I'm describing with the dermatologist office and the Duncan Donuts that used to be a funeral home it's sort of like the village square in my little town in New York City and I'm standing there and after the ghost had ascended I said well you know I can write down the details of my podcast episode now you know I focused on her and we did what we had to do and I want to tell this story so I took out my little notebook so I'm standing there in front of Duncan Donuts furiously scribbling into my little notebook and I hear two people say hi Jennifer and I look up and it's my friends Mike and Monica and they were walking their little dog and they came over to me and they know very much about me being a medium they listened to this podcast and they said you know what are you doing and I said well you know I just helped this woman spirit who ascended over there and I'm writing down the details because I think I'm going to tell this story on my podcast this week and they were very interested and mentioned some of their favorite episodes of this show and then Mike said to me yes we've been watching this show and it's called Ghosts it's on CBS and he said the interesting thing about this show is that the ghosts are a bunch of characters who lived in this house and they can't leave the perimeters of the property where they are and they had all died on that spot so this was exactly the thing that I had been wondering about why couldn't this ghost leave this tiny little perimeter and I don't know if she died there or maybe she was somehow connected to the funeral home that is now a Duncan Donuts but I know that she was trapped in that little boundary and I'm so grateful that she was able to leave there and hopefully find some peace and joy on the other side thank you so much for listening to this episode of My True
